Zinc (or galvanized) steel products are cold rolled steels, coated with a layer of protection against corrosive environments. + Galvalume
Galvalume is the trade name given for steels coated with an Al-Zn- Si layer, applied by the hot dip process. This coating offers excellent resistance to corrosion by the aluminum barrier, coupled with the galvanic protection offered by zinc. It also has a surface with high thermal resistance, and can be used at working temperatures up to 315ºC without discoloration. If the surface appearance is not of high importance in its application, the galvalume can be subjected to temperature peaks of up to 480 ° C for short periods of time.
