Zinc (or galvanized) steel products are cold rolled steels, coated with a layer of protection against corrosive environments. This protection of the steel is produced by the coating with zinc compositions (for example, iron or aluminum). They can be applied in general use, from simple stamping to the more complex, where it is common to use structural steels of good formability and high Mechanical resistance, combined with corrosion resistance.

  • + Normal Crystals "Regular spangler"

In the coating process, the zinc crystals deposited by hot immersion on the steel surface undergo growth during the solidification step. The final aspect is a shiny surface with ‘flower-shaped’ designs. These materials are widely used in construction, usually unpainted.

  • + Minimized Crystals

In the coating process, the zinc crystals deposited by hot immersion on the steel surface are controlled in the bath. After passing through the hardening mill, the final appearance is a smooth surface. These materials are widely applied in the manufacture of home appliances and in the automotive industry where paint is needed.

  • + Galvannealed

They are steels coated with Zn-Fe alloys in hot immersion process. These steels ensure excellent weldability and good use in stamping. These materials are especially used when a quality surface appearance is desired after painting. They can be used in the manufacture of household appliances, in the automobile industry and in civil construction.

  • + Electrogalvanized

They are steels coated with pure Zn or alloys of Zn-Ni and Zn-Fe by the process of electrodeposition. These materials have good stamping and conformation. They are commonly used in the manufacture of household appliances, in the automobile industry and in civil construction.

  • + Galvalume

Galvalume is the trade name given for steels coated with an Al-Zn- Si layer, applied by the hot dip process. This coating offers excellent resistance to corrosion by the aluminum barrier, coupled with the galvanic protection offered by zinc. It also has a surface with high thermal resistance, and can be used at working temperatures up to 315ºC without discoloration. If the surface appearance is not of high importance in its application, the galvalume can be subjected to temperature peaks of up to 480 ° C for short periods of time.
